I knit up another baby bib from the Baby Bib O 'Love pattern from Mason-Dixon Knitting using the Sugar'n Cream Stripes yarn:

I liked the way it turned out but thought that it would be neat to do the next one with the stripes going the other way:

and another using variegated yarn :

Sideways Garter Stitch Baby Bib:
I used Lily Sugar'n Cream Yarn and size 7 (4.5mm) needles. The gauge is 4.5 stitches/inch and 7 rows/inch. A bib uses less than 1 skein
Cast on 54 stitches. Knit for 14 rows (7 ridges). At the beginning of the next RS row, bind off 22 stitches. Continue on the 32 stitches for about 4 inches ( I did 28 rows). At the end of the last WS row, cast on 22 stitches ( I used the e-wrap cast-on). Knit 6 rows. On row 7 (a RS row) make the buttonholes. Knit 3 stitches, bind off 2 stitches, knit 3 stitches, bind off 2 stitches, knit to the end of the row. On the next row, cast on 2 stitches over the 2 buttonholes. After finishing up 14 rows, bind off. Add a button.
